Students without Guardians

Student without Guardian
Every household should have at least 1 guardian. Please see below to address households missing guardians, you must first search for the student.
Path: Index > Census > People > Search
1.Search for the student by student# under ‘All People’ and select the 'Relationships’ tab. There should be at least 1 member of the household with the ‘Guardian’ checkbox checked.
There are two potential issues:
- Person is already in the household but ‘Guardian’ checkbox not checked.
- To fix this, simply check the ‘Guardian’ checkbox next to the person who is the Guardian for the student.
- The Person who is the Guardian needs to be added to the household.
- To fix this, go to Household tab for the student, click on the phone number for the household, and then click on the ‘Members’ Tab and click ‘Find New Member’. Review the Household Member Maintenance documentation.
Guardians without Mailing Checked
Every household should have at least 1 guardian with the ‘Mailing’ checkbox checked. Please see below to address households missing Mailing:

1.Search for the student by student# under ‘All People’ and select the 'Relationships’ tab. There should be at least 1 member of the household with the ‘Mailing’ checkbox checked.
There are two potential issues:
- Person is already in the household but ‘Mailing’ checkbox not checked.
- To fix this, simply check the ‘Mailing’ checkbox next to the person who is the Guardian for the student.
- The Person who is the Guardian needs to be added to the household.
