If there are not conflicts, a message will display below the button "no conflicts detected:.

The resolution can be saved.

Attendance will be added for the time frame recorded on the resolution.

If there are conflicts, a mesage will display "The following student(s) already have an attendance record for the specified date and time range”.

Investigate the attendance conflict to determine the appropriate action.

2

If the attendance code is incorrect for the date/time range specified on the resolution you will need to overwrite the existing attendance

  • All existing attendance records will be overwritten with new attendance records based on the Attendance Code selected for the behavior resolution for all dates and times encompassed within the resolution.

In the Take the following action field, use the drop-down menu to select Overwrite Existing attendance.

3

After researching actual student attendance, edit the resolution date and times to accurately reflect the student’s attendance.

*example - student was assigned In School Suspension starting at 7:30.  The student arrived to school at 9:00.  When the late arrival is recorded this will remove the behavior attendance code and replace with the late arrival attendance code.  The resolution start time will need updated to reflect when the In School suspension started.

In the Take the following action field, use the drop-down menu to select Save Behavior resolution but not the attendance.

  • All existing attendance records will remain unchanged.  The attendance code selected will not create an absences for the resolution.

4

Click Save

The behavior attendance code will display on the student’s Attendance tab.  It is a good practice to click the student’s attendance tab to review the new entry and ensure that the resolution dates and times were accurately recorded.
