Grade Book - Post Grades (Elementary Standards)

Important Tips

  • If there are students on your list that are not in your class, notify your building scheduler as soon as possible.

  • NEVER open more than one (1) session of Infinite Campus at the same time in the same internet browser.  It can cause data corruption.

  • Check the year and school at the top of your screen to verify they are correct.

  • Do not wait until the last day or two that the grading window is open to enter grades.  In the event of issues with Infinite Campus, you will need time to get them resolved.  

Post Grades by Task



  1. Click Post Grades on the Action Bar in Campus Instruction.
    1. Campus defaults to Post Grades by Standard/Grading Task.
  2. Verify that the Term is correct.
  3. Using the drop-down menu, select the Section (subject) where grades are to be entered.
    1. To enter Interim grades, the Section is Interim Report (K-5).
  4. Select the Task.
  5. Select the Grade that is to be entered for the student.
    1. Comments can be entered.  Note: entering lengthy comments can cause the student’s report card to print out on more than 2 pages.
    2. During the Interim grading period, comments should be entered by selecting Interim Comments in the Task field:
  6. Click Save.

If the majority of the students are receiving the same grade, the Fill Percent, Grade, Comment option can be used. 


IMPORTANT:  before using the Fill option, select Show Active Students Only in Account Settings.


After selecting the Section, Term, and Task, click the Fill Percent, Grade, Comment button at the top of the screen.

                                                     

The Fill: Percent, Grade, Comment window will open.

  1. Using the drop-down menu, select the grade to be entered.
  2. Comments can be applied by typing in the Comments field.  Note: the comment entered will be applied to all students selected in #4 below.
    1. If ‘Use Canned Comments’ has been selected in Account Settings, there will be an option to enter comments available within Infinite Campus.  Type the Comment(s) number (e.g. 12, 13 above) in the Enter Codes field or check the box to the left of the comment(s) to be added. 
  3. Use the scroll bar to view all canned comments.
  4. Select the students to apply the grade:
  • Select All to enter the selected grade for all students.  This option will overwrite any grades already entered. 
  • Select Empty to fill only those students who do not have a grade entered.

     5.  Click Fill.

A message window will open to Confirm and Continue. 

Click OK to the message.

Click Save at the top of the page.


Post Grades by Student


  1. Click Post Grades on the Action Bar in Campus Instruction.

  4. Select Student from the drop-down menu in the Post by field.
  5. Select the student using the drop-down menu.
  6. Select the Grade that is to be entered for the student.

    2. During the Interim grading period, comments should be entered in the Interim Comments field:
