Grade Book - Post Grades (Secondary Term)

Grade Book - Post Grades (Secondary Term)

Post Grades is an essential task in preparing progress report cards for students and families. CCS Secondary courses are scored using term grading tasks. There are three established grading tasks for all secondary courses, Quarter, Exam and Final. The Quarter grading tasks are recorded at the end of each term. An additional Final grading task is required in the last quarter term of a course. The Exam grading task is available on all courses but can be optional based on the course curriculum.

Each term has a defined grading window during which time the marks are officially recorded. For more information on grading window, click here.

It is not appropriate to enter grades for students that are not scheduled in the course at your school during the grading period.

For example, if a student did not enroll at your school until quarter 2, and you have a report card with quarter 1 grades from the previous school, those grades are NOT to be entered in quarter 1 because they were not earned at your school.  The teacher SHOULD average them in when calculating the final grade for the course at the semester or end of year depending on the length of the course.
