  6. How do I play a DVD on my computer?
    1. Please use the VLC Media player from the CCS Software Folder or Speak to the Helpdesk to have it installed on your computer. The Windows Media player which is standard on all Windows computers does not have a DVD Decoder installed in it while the VLC Media player does.
  7. I'm Using VLC but my DVD Will not play, what's wrong?
    1. Check the drive to make sure it is a DVD drive not simply a CD-ROM Drive (the Door of the drive that slides in and out will read 'DVD rom' if it is a DVD player) or then if it is one try a different disc; or try it in a different machine to determine if it is the computer drive itself or the DVD that is causing the problem. If the DVD is fine call the helpdesk to request a tech come out and clean the drive or re-install it to see if they can get discs to play in it again. If it is the DVD you will need a different copy.
