Email FAQs

  1. I cannot open the calendar/form I was sent by email.
    1. Please Open the Lotus Notes Program from the Icon on your Desktop or from the CCS Software Folder and sign in to the program then try your email link again.
  2. Where do I go to check my email from home?

  3. How do I setup my I-phone or smart phone to receive emails?
    1. Click iPhoneiPadEmail5_28_2013 for IPhone setup or Click AndroidEmail5_28_2013 for Android setup. 
  4. What is my full email address?
    1. Your username for Windows + @columbus.k12.oh.us
  5. How do I change my Outlook password? Ctrl/Alt/Del, click "Change password" and proceed from there (this will also affect your Windows login)
  6. How do I put a signature on my email?
    1. Go to "New E-mail"/"Insert" tab/ "Signature",  then type in the message (Select whether new emails, forwards, and replies will have the signature inserted.)
  1. Do I put my user ID or full email address in the username box for Microsoft Office 365?
    1. You can use user id or full email address, but full email address is preferred.
  2. How do I get access to Lotus Notes and evaluations?
    1. These requests need to go to the immediate supervisor of the requester. This access cannot be given without permission.
  3. I am getting an error when trying to do evaluations. What do I do?
    1. Pull up the Symantec Streaming Agent, which is the yellow circle icon in the lower right portion of the screen. Go to My Applications, highlight Lotus Notes and select remove. To do this all sessions of Lotus Notes need to be closed. After this is done, reboot the computer. This should resolve most issues.
  4. Can I bulk add email addresses into a group in outlook?
    1. Yes, as long as you have a list of email addresses not just names. See notes in IT Self Service here: How to bulk add email addresses into a group in outlook.
  5. How do I delete multiple emails at one time? (If they are listed together)
    1. Click on the first email that you wish to delete. Hold down the Shift button. Click on the last email that you wish to delete. All emails in between the two emails will be highlighted. Press the Delete button. All highlighted items will be moved into the Deleted Items folder.

    3. Click on the first email that you wish to delete. Hold down the Ctrl key. Click on each email that you wish to delete. All emails that you have clicked on will be highlighted. Release the Ctrl key and press the Delete button. All highlighted items will be moved into the Deleted Items folder.
