SCH 120-0022 - Student must not have schedule record where Roster Start Date equals Roster End Date.
Rule Description
This rule reviews the student schedule. It is looking for courses that have been ended using a date that matches the start date. A violation will occur if the schedule also has a second course using the same start date as the ended course.
Severity Level: 4 - LOW
How to resolve violations
- Review the Data Validation Results table in Certify. Determine which student(s) schedule to review.
- On Infinite Campus review the student's schedule
Path: Index > Student Information > General > Schedule
- Students must not have more than one course using the same start/end dates in any period.
- Course start date must not match the course end date of another course in the same period.
- It may be appropriate to adjust the start and or end date of a course so they do not overlap.
Adjusting a start and/or end date on a students schedule may result in the deletion of grades and attendance. Please review the Infinite Campus Dashboard - Walk-In Scheduler for more detailed instruction.
- Submit a Campus Support Form If there is an error that requires a course to be removed from a schedule. The ticket must include the student name, #, name of course, course #, and ask that this course be deleted from the student's schedule.
How to prevent future violations
- Review the Infinite Campus Dashboard - Walk-In Scheduler
- When schedules are changed, the start date in the new course/section should always be the next school day after the previous course is dropped.
