Program Overview

The Higher Education Partnership Office is collaborating with Columbus State Community College (CSCC) to offer a new College Credit Plus program called Junior JumpStart. Junior JumpStart is a program for juniors who would like AND are ready to take College Credit Plus classes on Columbus State’s campus in a supported cohort model part-time during the 2017-18 school year. Students participating in this program will spend a portion of their school day at their high school and a portion at Columbus State Community College (CSCC).

Students

Who will be attending the program and how are they are selected to participate?

Rising juniors who would:

benefit from a supported cohort model while taking college courses
have earned a cum GPA of 3.0 or higher
will have completed two years of English with a B or better
have a great attendance record
be in good discipline standing
on track to meet one state graduation option

Students must apply for and be accepted into this program before taking courses.
