Course Deck Review - 2016-17
Curriculum coordinators were provided a spreadsheet broken down by content area. They are to review and update these spreadsheets and return to the Infinite Campus Support team to update data in Infinite Campus. The Infinite Campus Support team will make the requested changes, and have the coordinators review to ensure they are correct.
Utilize the Course Fields Layout and the Course Field Descriptions documents as a guide for the correct information. These guides include links to external sources, like the EMIS manual, to assist you in making the correct decisions.

Instructions
Is this an active course?
Make sure that the course is valid, and can be offered in 2016-17. Â If not, highlight the spreadsheet row in red, and make a comment in the notes column that it should be inactivated.
Â
Identify changes to be made
Each field in the spreadsheet should be reviewed for accuracy. Â You can easily scroll down the columns and look for patterns. Â If something stands out, take a closer look.
For any changes that need to be made, make the necessary change to the field, and then highlight the individual cell(s) in yellow. Â Enter any comments in the notes column for clarification if necessary.
Create or update course descriptions
Make sure that each course has a complete and meaningful description. At a minimum, it should contain a few sentences about the course curriculum. It is also helpful to include additional items where applicable, such as:
- intended audience (i.e. 12 graders only)
- specific schools to which the course can be offered (pilot programs, etc.)
- teacher certification requirements
- indication of special course type (Special Ed, ESL, CCP, Credit Flex, VCAP, CTE, etc.)
