Brief Overview

About Certify- A collection of pre-defined rules used to ensure the integrity of data by checking for consistency and accuracy.  Certify will send an email alert to inform users of the data inconsistency or inaccuracy, they call this email a Certify Validation Result Scorecard.


  • Scorecards

    • Run each night, pulling data in from Infinite Campus > new scorecards emailed each morning

    • Users see rules that pertain to them and their job role

  • Understanding violations

    • Not all rules are bad!  Some are informational!

  • Rule Definitions

Expectations

  • Review scorecard daily!

  • Data Quality Score

  • Priority Levels

    • 1 - Critical

    • 2 - Urgent

    • 3 - Moderate

    • 4 - Low

    • 5 - Notification / Review (no impact to Data Quality Score)

  • Fixing errors

    • Start with Priority 1 and work your way down the list

  • Determining root cause
