HB410 Habitually Truant MUST HAVE Attendance Intervention Plan (AIP)

This business rule is looking for an Attendance Intervention Plan for all students with a Habitually (HT) date.  A student will report as a violation if there is no plan created OR if there is an Attendance Intervention Plan with a start date more than 60 days before the HT date.

In this example, The student has a HT72 date of March 5 2021.  The student also has an Attendance Plan on the PLP Documents tab.

This is reporting on Certify because the student has an AIP created with a start date of November 5, 2020 and the AIP start date is more and 60 days prior to March 5, 2021.

In this scenario the Attendance Team should review student’s attendance along with the existing AIP.  The team can decide to create a new AIP or copy the existing AIP making sure to enter a new start date with updated interventions and goals.   All previous AIP should be end dated when a new plan is created or copied by the Attendance Team.

Certify will no longer report the student as a violation when the AIP start date is within the 60 days of the HT date.
