Students are permitted to repeat a course to try and earn a higher grade. |
Note |
---|
Because we do not have an automatic mechanism for dealing with repeated courses, |
...
counselors must manually update the transcript so that the GPA and credits appear correctly. |
Determine Repeat Course
Determine the course that was repeated. This should be on the documentation "Request to Change a Student's Academic Grade" and signed by all appropriate parties.
...
This example transcript has Art 1 Survey X SOCIOLOGY counting twice for credit on the transcript.
The highest grade should count for credit and toward Cum GPA
The lower grade will remain on the transcript, but earned credit needs to be '0.00' and it should NOT count in Cum GPA

Note that the earned credits for the course we updated is now 0.000. The CUM GPA has increased since we are no longer factoring in the course with the lower grade. Finally, the total CUM credits has decreased since this course cannot count twice for credit.
