**NOTE{}Installing and uninstalling of any* smartboard will need to go to a site tech for a thick client or tier 2 for a thin client, ALSO updates are built into the image.
To begin using the board you must first Orient the board, the following are directions on how to proceed:
1) Hold the two buttons on the pen tray and it will go into the mode.
2) Use the pens to hit the points it shows. In the control panel you can change the number of points it uses to orient.
a.4 or 9: This is the normal setting. The data for these are stored in the SC9 and they only need to be performed if the projector was moved or the SC9 was reset.
b.12 or 20: This is used for more delicate projects. Usually if you will be doing a lot of writing on the board you want this setting. These are stored in the computer and cannot be cleared out by resetting the SC9. The only way to remove them is by changing the setting in the control panel.

**note** some software fixes can be done if the SMARTboard is connected via Bluetooth. Also most software issues can be resolved by rebooting the computer or uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Also under "Control Panel" you can find all diagnostic tools and settings for the board.
