Objective: This process outlines the procedure for re-streaming applications in the Symantec Workspace Streaming Agent or SWS.
Most of the applications used by the district are streamed into the computers using the streaming application server. This includes Adobe, Lotus Notes, Java, and most Java based programs like eSis.

Removing a Streaming Application

  • Double click the Steaming Application Icon
  • Symantec Workspace Streaming agent opens
  • Click on My Application tab
  • Highlight application to remove
  • Click remove
  • Streaming agent will remove the application
    • Some applications such as Adobe, will automatically re-stream
    • Other applications will need to be opened again from the CCS Software folder
  • Green dot will appear on yellow circle icon "Symantec workspace streaming agent" while installation is in process.

This action can be used for applications such as Adobe, eSis, Java, Microsoft Office, Kronos, and Lotus. If this process does not work see command line removal of SVS Layers.
