Promotion, Placement or Retention
To align with BOARD POLICY 5410: PROMOTION, PLACEMENT, AND RETENTION and its administrative guidelines, a placement comment has been made available to add to report cards.
The options include:
Your scholar will be promoted for the 2021-2022 school year.
Your scholar will be placed in the next grade for the 2021-22 school year.
Your scholar will be retained for the 2021-22 school year.
Adding a Comment
The appropriate comment must be added to each student individually.
PATH: Student Information > General > Report Comments
Open the Index tab
Expand Student Information
Click General
Click on the Report Comments tab
Click Report Card
Choose the appropriate comment
Click Save
Logging Contact with Parents/Guardians
Follow the directions at the link below to create a Contact Log entry on the PLP log to show that you have communicated with your student’s family regarding their retention or placement for 2021-2022
PLP log entries are not required for students being promoted
Create a PLP Contact Log Entry
Be sure to choose the correct Contact Type of 2021/2022 Student Placement or 2021 Student Retention as shown below:
