Enter the Diploma Date:

Enter the Diploma Date: Enter the last day of school for end of year graduates, the date of the school/district’s graduation ceremony if a summer graduate or, for former non-grads or early graduates, the date they complete all graduation requirements.

Grad tabs should be completed by May 28th - provided ALL grades, competencies and seals are posted correctly to transcripts. Students MUST be in grades 10-12 to graduate- NOT 9! 

  • If they are regular, end of year graduates, students will be withdrawn automatically, but if they graduated early, ask secretaries to submit the withdrawal form. If students are in the Grad Test Required Completion calendar, the EMIS staff will withdraw them provided the Graduation tab is completedsee below.

  • When a former non-grad student does complete graduation requirements, enter the date that the student completed all requirements. This could be the date a student took and passed their final testing competency (ex. 10-01- 20202023), or the date a student completed a final course on VCAP In APEX and that final grade is posted (ex. 211-4-202123) . Make sure you work with the records secretary to then WITHDRAW the student (this includes students who DID meet graduation requirements on time but the grad tab was not completed on time)!

Only select an option here if you have an IEP student using the Alternate Pathway to Graduation. Please double-check with your specSpec. edEd. Transition Coordinator for this category. It is their responsibility to share this information with you. See Options, “3” below.

Exempted from Physical Education Graduation Requirement:

Check only for students who met this requirement through an approved CCS PE Waiver application.

  • Indicates if the district has adopted a policy to exempt certain students from the Physical Education graduation credit requirement and if the student has met the policy’s requirements.

OGT/EOC Only Box:

Check this box when students in the Graduation Requirements calendar (EOC only non-grad students ) fulfill a graduation pathway or testing requirement and are ready for graduation. *When a non-grad student does pass his/her final assessment or fulfills a grad pathway, you may enter the date they met this graduation requirement in the Diploma Date box. All other graduation tab fields would also be entered as directed in this guide

Add all Seals students earned. Credential and OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seals are added by the CTE Office. Biliteracy Seals are added by World Languages TOSA. Seals (including at least one State Seal) MUST be added for all students using the 2023 & Beyond graduation requirements.

In the Classic Look of IC, navigate to Student Information > Reports > Data Verification > Graduates > Graduate Verification.

To locate this report in the ‘New Look’, go to the Search Tab, select a “Tool' search, and search for ‘Graduate Verification’.
