Specialists – Art, Music, and Physical Education teachers – give students an interim grade each grading period.  They also need to access to the Work and Social Behavior course sections. Following these instructions will give access to the teachers that teach specials (Art, Music and Physical Education) to enter interim marks and grade card comments.


Adding Specialists to the Interim Course Sections

Note

  1. Select the current school year  from the Year drop-down menu.

  2. If at a K-8 school, select K-5 from the Schedule drop-down menu.

  1. Click on the Search > Course/Section from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter the Course number (i.e. N000K5 or N000WS), click Go.
  3. Select a Section >
  4. Click Staff History
  5. Click New Teacher

Assign A Specials Teacher To A Section

The Staff History Detail window will open.

  1. Select the specialistsname from the drop-down menu.
  2. Select the District Assignment from the drop-down menu. 
    • The Start Date and End Date should remain blank unless the staff member starts working in the sections after the first day of the first scheduled term, or stops working in the section before the last day of the last scheduled term.
  3. Select the Role
  4. Continue using the current Teacher Display Name from the Section Tab.
  5. Save at the top of the screen.
