This is a blocker course for students who have been enrolled but have not reported to school. Create a section of this course to span the entire school day, and schedule students into this course for attendance taking. This will take students off teacher rosters and will give you an accurate reflection of available seats. When scheduling a student in the NO SHOW course, use the next school day. This course must only be used when a student has not attended for two weeks, there has been no notification of illness, and staff are actively attempting to locate the student. While students are in this course, carry out appropriate attendance interventions per the Unable to Locate Checklist Form (log interventions on the student's PLP log). An electronic withdraw request can be submitted via CCSDAS if all interventions on the Unable to Locate Checklist are completed or if a records request is received.
