Covid Variant Purple??

Schools in OH (Northeast-Jefferson county) are returning to remote due to the fact they are highly purple. The vaccines do not cover this deadly covid.

I understand Gov DeWines decision that students need in person learning but not at the expense of these results of covid.

Any Thoughts? Just curious
