Classroom Monitor

The Classroom Monitor shows which teachers have recorded attendance for a course section during the appropriate period. In addition, the Classroom Monitor allows attendance staff to rapidly enter attendance for teachers or substitute teachers who are unable to take attendance electronically.  This will also be where attendance is entered for the following courses by the building secretary: No-Show, Unable to Locate, and Located by Not Attending.

The Classroom Monitor tool can be found by using the following path: Main Menu > Attendance Office > Attendance Management > Classroom Monitor

The Classroom Monitor screen will look slightly different depending on the grade levels served at the school.

For Secondary (MS & HS) Schools – attendance is taken on all academic courses.  Each period a teacher has a course that requires attendance is displayed.

For Elementary Schools – attendance is only collected on the Elementary Attendance or Half-Day Attendance courses.  Not the academic courses. Attendance will show in periods H1 thru H7.

SPECIAL NOTE: The building principal will be listed as the primary teacher for the following courses: No-Show, Unable to Locate, Located not Attending.  This allows the attendance secretary to quickly find the attendance for those students and mark them absent every day.

In the Classroom Monitor, the course number and seat count will show next to the teachers name under the corresponding period.  When attendance needs to be taken for a course, the course number will show in a pink color.  When attendance has been saved, the course number will turn green.

Special Note: Teachers must open up their attendance screen and hit Save, even if all of the students are present.  This will turn their course number green and indicate that attendance was addressed. When a teacher or substitute teacher is not able to take electronic attendance, they will record attendance on an official CCS roster generated from Infinite Campus.  The roster will be turned into the secretary and the data on the roster will be entered using the Classroom Monitor.
