PSW - Frequently Asked Questions

There have been many questions asked about the Public School Works Assessments as they relate to Infinite Campus and your tool rights within the system. Please see below for questions and answers.

(question) How do I log in and take assessments?

(lightbulb)  Instructions for logging in to Public School Works and taking the Infinite Campus knowledge assessments can be found here.

(question) Who needs to take assessments?

(lightbulb)  A list of user roles and required assessments can be found here.  (warning) NOTE - Assessments are not required for teachers or non-school administrators who only have read access to Infinite Campus.

(question) Which assessments are required for my role?

(lightbulb)  There are 5 different assessments in the areas of attendance, behavior, and scheduling.  Depending on your role, you may be required to take one or more of these.  View the chart for details

(question) What is the deadline?

(lightbulb)  For those required to complete assessments, you must do so by the new deadline of Wednesday, August 22, 2018.  The assessment must be completed no later than 2:00pm.  At this time, a list will be run to determine which have not been completed

(question) Will my tool rights be revoked?

(lightbulb)  If your assessment(s) are not completed by the deadline, your access to edit/change attendance, behavior & scheduling data will be revoked within a few hours of the deadline.  Your existing access to these modules will be changed to read-only.

  • Please do NOT submit a support ticket or send an email indicating your successful completion if you finish BEFORE the deadline ... we will be able to extract this data and keep your tool rights intact.

(question) How do I get my tool rights back?

(lightbulb)  If you successfully complete your required assessments AFTER the deadline above, please send in a support ticket to have your tool rights restored.

  • Instructions for creating a ticket can be found here
  • Please include the assessment(s) you took and passed in the details of the ticket
  • These tickets will take priority and will be handled promptly – please do not call or email requests, as this slows down the process for everyone
  • Once your rights are restored, the ticket will be closed and you will get an automatic email indicating your rights are restored
  • Remember to log out and then back in to Infinite Campus to see the changes

(question) Do I need to fill out an Additional Tool Rights form?

(lightbulb)  The Additional Tool Rights form in the CCSDAS should not be used to request the restoration of tool rights that were revoked.  Please follow the support ticket process above.
