Behavior Resolution Entry Pilot
The email below was sent to all Elementary Principals and Elementary Secretary IIs on Nov 20, 2018 :
Last week during our Attendance & Accountability Meeting, the CAA proposed a slight variation to our current procedure of entering behavior resolutions. The outcome of this meeting was to pilot this new procedure. This procedural change will allow for the Secretary II to enter resolutions on behalf of the building principal in circumstances where the principal is addressing an immediate behavior. This change is only applicable to elementary buildings with a single administrator. The Secretary II must complete their PublicSchoolWORKS Knowledge Assessment for “Infinite Campus (2018) – Behavior” (Course #C126 ) and complete this with an 80% or greater (click link above).
Once this is completed, the secretary should enter an Infinite Campus Tool Rights Request form using the CCSDAS to gain behavior admin tool rights, have their principal approve and then we will take care of adding that tool right. This does not apply toward behavior managed through PEAK as the PEAK IA records only resolutions of behavior that he/she is directly responding to.
This new procedure will be effective November 26th 2018 through March 14th 2019 as a pilot. At the March 14th Attendance & Accountability Meeting, we will review data, gain insight from both secretaries and principals as to further procedures. A custom area within the behavior resolution will allow the secretary to denote if the resolution is entered on behalf of the administrator (see below screenshot - click to enlarge).
This will further enhance our system by allowing a “covering principal” to have a quick mechanism for having a behavior resolution entered when necessary.
