Promotion, Placement or Retention


To align with BOARD POLICY 5410: PROMOTION, PLACEMENT, AND RETENTION and its administrative guidelines, a placement comment has been made available to add to report cards.

The options include: 

Adding a Comment


The appropriate comment must be added to each student individually.

PATH: Student Information > General > Report Comments

  1. Open the Index tab

  2. Expand Student Information

  3. Click General

  4. Click on the Report Comments tab

  5. Click Report Card

  6. Choose the appropriate comment

  7. Click Save

UPDATE: On 5/30/2023 at approximately 10:45 am, our Infinite Campus Support Team ran a script in the database that marked all Pre-K through 8th grade students as Promoted since this is the majority of our students. This means that schools only need to manually update those students who are Retained or Placed. Make sure that only ONE comment box is checked for each student and the checkbox is for the appropriate school year. This should be done by a school official.
