Student list by Cohort Year vs. Grade Level

Students in Infinite Campus have a grade level to which they are assigned in their school (9,10,11,12) but they also have a cohort year, which is the calendar year in which they should graduate, based on their 9th grade entry date. If a student is on track to graduate, cohort year should be 4 school years after their 9th grade entry date. Often times however, students do not meet the requirements to move on to the next grade level, so their grade might not increment, but the cohort year remains the same. For this reason, it can be useful to run class lists by cohort year rather than grade level.

Cohort Year

Select the school year and school at the top of the screen in Infinite Campus
Navigate to Index > Ad Hoc Reporting > Data Export
In the Saved Filters section, scroll down to the items that have an underscore before the name. These are the predefined Ad Hocs available to most users in the district
The Cohort year reports are in the _Graduation category
It is recommended to export as CSV so the file can be opened in Excel and sorted as needed

Grade Level

Select the school year and school at the top of the screen in Infinite Campus
Navigate to Index > Ad Hoc Reporting > Data Export
In the Saved Filters section, scroll down to the items that have an underscore before the name. These are the predefined Ad Hocs available to most users in the district
Choose the _Demographics/Enrollment category, then the report titled Active Students (P) grade 9-12 w/cohort
It is recommended to export as CSV so the file can be opened in Excel and sorted as needed

Student list with Cohort Year and Cum GPA

Student list ACT Composite Scores

Select the school year and school at the top of the screen in Infinite Campus
Navigate to Index > Ad Hoc Reporting > Data Export
In the Saved Filters section, scroll down to the items that have an underscore before the name. These are the predefined Ad Hocs available to most users in the district
Choose the _Test/Assess category, then the report titled ACT Assessment History
It is recommended to export as CSV so the file can be opened in Excel and sorted as needed

Demographics

Our advisors could really benefit from a wide-ranging overview of CCS student & staff demographics, what the data means? Where does the data pull from? When/how often does some of the data feed into Infinite Campus (ACT Scores, flags etc.)?
