A substitute teacher, who has worked in a long term assignment for 60 days, will become eligible for benefits on day 61.
The long term substitute teacher will have 30 days to make elections and benefits will begin on the first of the month following 30 days of the long term sub assignment.
Long term substitute teachers are notified by the SEMS department that they are now benefits eligible. These employees are moved from the substitute teacher job class to the long term substitute teacher job class.
The Benefits team will treat this change as a Life Event to open their elections on Employee Self Service.
Long Term Substitute Teachers will make their elections through Employee Self Service.
