When reviewing a schedule of a the following message may appear:

End date is not within the section start and end dates.

This typically occurs when a student is withdrawn prior to the start date of one or more of their courses. When the CCSDAS processes the withdraw, it end dates the student’s schedule with the withdraw date. If the student withdraws in first semester, but has second semester courses that don’t begin until mid-January, it shows an error like the one above.

In the example below, the Enrollment Editor shows this student has multiple enrollments to East HS with different start dates in the same 21-22 school year.

Image Modified

The Walk-in Scheduler shows the original schedule was ended on 12/1/2021, when the student was withdrawn. When the student returned on 1/14/2022, the sections originally scheduled for quarter 3 and quarter 4 display this error message. This happened because and end date of 12/1/2021 was automatically put on the second semester courses when the student was originally withdrawn.
