Individual Student Behavior Summary

To print a Behavior report for an individual student:

  • Navigate to the correct school and year.

  • Search for the student.

  • Click on the Main Menu.

  • Click

  • Student Information.

  • Under the Heading General, click Behavior.

  • Click on the report at the top of the Behavior screen:

    • Print Current Calendar to print only the Behavior events that occurred during the current school year for the selected student.

    • Print All Years to print all Behavior events that are available in Infinite Campus for the selected student.  Note:  If the student had any incidents prior to 2008, they will not be included on the report.

To print reports that include events for all students at the school:

On the Index tab, click on Behavior>Reports.

The following are reports that can be generated in the Reports section of the Behavior Office in Infinite Campus:

Behavior Event Report -  Index>Behavior>Reports>Event

This report will list the number of events per type. The report can be grouped by staff member, staff member with student, event type and student.

Behavior Resolution Report -  Index>Behavior>Reports>Resolution

This report lists event, resolution and student information. The summary format prints the statistic of events, resolutions. The detail format prints each event and resolution for every student.

Behavior Incident Report -  Index>Behavior>Reports>Incident

This report gives the user a high level overview of where and when Behavior Incidents occurred.

Behavior Attendance Audit Report- Index>Behavior>Reports>Behaivor Attendance Audit Report

The Behavior Attendance Audit report identifies students who have behavior resolutions not linked to an entry in their attendance record, or attendance codes not linked to a behavior resolution type

When reviewing this report:

  • If an error is identified while reviewing the BAA, or you receive a Certify violation (BEH 110-0010) correct the resolution and add the comment “Corrected per BAA and/or Certify Rule: BEH 110-0010 with the correctors name and current date.

Options for Success Enrollments - Index>Student Information>Reports>Options for Success/JDF

This report contains a list of students who have had an Options for Success or JDF enrollment record anytime during the selected calendar year. 

Behavior Summary Rpt with ethnicity - Index>Ad Hoc Reporting>Data Export>student BEH-Behavior Summary Rpt w/ethnic

This report lists resolution and student information including ethnicity.  This report will also generate for previous school years.  The school year must be selected prior to generating the report.

About these reports

Below are directions for running a series of custom reports that allow users to extract behavior data for students into Excel. Exporting this information to Excel will allow you to sort and use pivot tables to better analyze the data.

The Behavior Summary reports are found within the Behavior tab in Infinite Campus. Follow the steps below to generate these reports and examine the data provided.

  • On the Index Tab, browse to Behavior > Reports > Behavior Summary 

  • Choose one of the four reports: 

    • Resolutions - Shows Behavior Events and Resolutions

    • Events - Shows Behavior Events only

    • Resolutions (All Schools) - Shows Behavior Events and Resolutions for all schools

    • Events - (All Schools) - Shows Behavior Events only for all schools

  • The parameter screen will allow you to filter your results on: 

    • Behavior Type

    • Event Name

    • Grade Level

    • SPED Status

    • Student Number

  • To run the report for all students, leave the parameters at their default setting and click Generate Report

  • You will be prompted to save the report to your computer. Give the report a meaningful name, determine where you want to save the report, then click Save

  • Open the report in Excel by double-clicking the file you just saved

Using a Pivot Table - Example

A pivot table can be used to further analyze the data that you just downloaded.

Follow the steps below to create a pivot table.

  • Select the entire data set, including the headers

  • On the Insert menu, click Pivot Table

  • This should create a new sheet within the workbook with a blank pivot table

  • To see the number of Resolutions for each grade level, drag the Resolution Name to the Rows and Values box, then drag the GR (Grade) to the Columns box

The pivot table automatically populates a count of each behavior resolution by grade

Pro Tip

Double click on a specific cell in the Pivot Table and it will generate a new sheet within the workbook with the data entries included in that count.
