The Behavior Attendance Audit is a report that checks for data accuracy when a behavior incident could affect the students' attendance. This document covers the most common, but not all, data entry mistakes that will cause a resolution error to appear on this report. When the Behavior Attendance Audit report is generated the report should be reviewed by all users that enter behavior resolution data.
When entering a Resolution that uses the following resolution types, certain fields are required to prevent an error from appearing on the Behavior Attendance Audit Report.
The data entered for Resolution directly affects a student’s attendance when the above below resolution types are used. If the data is inaccurate or the attendance does not reflect this information, the resolution will appear on the Behavior Attendance Audit. The Behavior Attendance Audit report identifies students who have behavior resolutions not linked to an entry in their attendance record, or attendance codes not linked to a behavior resolution type.

The fields numbered above numbered below show the required entries needed. Note: fields 1 and 2 (in red) are Infinite Campus required in order to move to the next screen. The fields 3-10 (in black) are district required and will appear on the Behavior Attendance Audit and/or Certify if not completed.
One of the most common mistakes made during Behavior Resolution data entry is a missing Attendance Code (number 6 8 above) and not using the “Check for attendance conflicts” button at the bottom of the resolution screen. Many items will be resolved by double-checking these two items.
Behavior Resolutions without a selected corresponding Attendance Code
Typically, Items listed in this section of the report have a resolution code that will affect the student’s attendance. The information entered on the resolution is not reflected in the student’s attendance.
Check the Resolution Start Date and Time and the End Date and Time.
For Hearings where the student will not be removed from the educational process the Resolution Start Date and Time AND the End Date and Time should be left blank.
b. For Hearings where the student will be removed from the educational process the Resolution Start Date and Time AND the End Date and Time are required fields.
2. If the Resolution Dates and Times are correct AND the Attendance Code is correct, use the “Check for Attendance Conflicts” button at the bottom of the resolution.
Where appropriate change the drop down to “Overwrite Existing attendance”.
3. If the Resolution dates and times are correct - Make sure that the appropriate attendance code was selected..

When edits are made to the behavior resolution or attendance the user should notate in the resolution details a description of the correction with notation "correction per BAA", initial and date. Select the appropriate selection from the Discipline modified drop down. |
Attendance without any corresponding Behavior Resolution
Typically, items are listed in this section of the report when an behavior code is used for Attendance but there is no behavior resolution entered.
The attendance codes, ISS, PALS, RMV, OSS and OSW should only be entered using the behavior management tool. These codes should not be assigned directly in attendance.
In the example below the student was marked “RMV” using the attendance wizard. The same student’s behavior tab does not show a behavior incident for 11/10/15. To correct this a behavior incident and resolution will need to be created or the attendance code corrected if used in error.

To record Allegations of Bullying/Harassment, please follow the same process used when entering a behavior event into the Behavior Management module listed below. However, when selecting an event type from the drop-down menu, you will now have to select one of the new highlighted options shown below.
Please keep in mind that an allegation is a claim that someone has done something wrong or illegal, typically made without proof. In other words, an allegation of Bullying/Harassment is a situation when someone has complained, but after an investigation it was concluded that there is no evidence of Bullying/Harassment.
Steps to entering an event and participant:
After clicking the Add Event/Participant button, the Details screen opens.
Event Type is a required field. Select the student’s violation from the drop-down menu. Only use events that have a Level I, Level II, or Level III before the name of the event.
- If Level II: Bullying/Harassment Other is the Event, details must be provided in the Details section of the incident.
If Level II: Allegation of Bullying/Harassment is the event, notice there are six different types (Disability, Other, Race, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation). Select the one that most closely resembles your incident. Details should be provided in the
Details section of the incident .
Reported by is the name of the staff member who referred the incident.
- Action Assigned By is the name of the administrator who will be assigning the resolution.
- Add Participant Filter defaults to Students. Another filter can be selected from the drop-down menu.
- Participant Name: Enter the student’s last name, partial name, or student number.
- Click Search. Names matching the search criteria will list below the Participant Name field.
- Click on the student’s name from the list of search results.

Resolutions may need modified after the initial entry. Keep the following tips in mind before modifying the resolution:
- Editing the resolution start date, resolution start time, resolution end date, and/or resolution end time will impact the student’s attendance.
- View the student’s attendance to verify that it accurately reflects the dates and times the student was absent.
- If a Resolution was entered as a hearing, when the disposition has been decided (Suspension, PEAK, etc.) ADD a second Resolution to reflect the outcome of the Hearing. The original Hearing Resolution must remain.
