The termination date entered should follow the logic listed in the chart below
Disability Retirement | Terminated Date field in Employee Master - HR enters the last paid date or the date stated in the disability letter. The disability letter will only provide a date if the employee has continued to work during the time which their disability claim was being reviewed. End Date in Job/Salary - Payroll will enter the last paid date if the employee was on an unpaid disability leave. HR will enter the last paid date if the employee was working and then was granted a disability retirement |
Employee Does Not Return from Leave | Terminated Date field in Employee Master - HR enters the last date employeed with Columbus City Schools. This date may be up to 2 years after the last paid date per contractual agreements End Date in Job/Salary - Payroll will enter the last paid date. HR should not need to touch this field. |
Hearing | Terminated Date field in Employee Master - During the decision process, the effective date of the termination should be determined. HR Employee Relations will enter the last date employed. End Date in Job/Salary - Payroll will enter the last paid date if the employee was on an unpaid leave of absence. If the employee was working, HR Employee Relations will enter the last date employed. |
